From 13 June to 15 June 2012 Europeana will be hosting the Plenary of the Europeana Network in Leuven, Belgium. We expect approx 250 professionals from cultural heritage institutions, the open data community, technology experts and software developers to join us.

The programme will focus on the general theme of ‘Connecting Society through Culture’. It will - in a very practical way- showcase through practical use cases presented by speakers and three main tracks of the conference the power of partnerships, open data and cutting edge technology. In the context of the three tracks we will further develop the Europeana Network concept of the European Cultural Commons in a stimulating Oxford Union Debate and discuss the Europeana Business Plan 2013.

Inspiring speakers with a shared vision to make European cultural heritage accessible to everyone who are eager to share their knowledge with you. 

This event will be a great opportunity to network with colleagues and partners of the Europeana Community!

Practical information

Registration: Please note that tracks 1.1, 1.2 and 1.3 run in parallel (13:30 - 15:30); the same for the tracks 1.2, 2.2 and 3.2 (16:00 - 18:00). You can attend sessions in different tracks as long as they are not hold simultaneously.

Reimbursement: The usual travel rules of funding one person per partner organisation and EU projects participants funding themselves will apply. More information on the special plenary website.
